Roka ~ Happy Hour好時光

印象中,總覺得Roka跟Zuma很相似,同是過江龍,同樣賣日本料理,但我也同樣沒有興趣來吃東西。反而因為其裝修雅致,而酒吧也做得不錯,來都是因為happy hour。是日又來,也是happy hour。

約了朋友去吃tapas前,要跟朋友談點東西,就約在PP等。行過這裡,見做緊「38 @ Roka」,所有紅酒白酒清酒香檳都只賣38蚊,還有好幾款下酒小吃也是同價。以牌子、地方及裝修計,絕對划算,就二人進來,坐上吧檯。

要了清酒,只有一個選擇,是醉心。就算是38蚊,木盒、酒瓶及碎冰也齊備,都相當之認真。清酒只是便宜杯裝,不是支裝,但這個價錢來說,算是這樣。

醉心易入口,味道較醇,餘韻平衡而有少少酒精的味道,用來吃刺身壽司就不太適合,但作為一晚的開始,剛好。

有酒也要叫點下酒菜,要了碟炸軟殼蟹。蟹幾大隻,但不肥美,沒有什麼羔的,吃起來自然沒有豐腴的口感。炸得很乾身,單吃硬硬的,放下湯拉麵同吃更配合。食物方面,這裡是較弱的。

坐了一會,未傾完,但時間夠,不好意思,要再約日子了。

埋單每人六十元,實在是happy hour的好地方。

  1. Its strange, but Rainer Becket bother to open ZUMA which is already not attractive, then still bring in its little brother ROKA to Hong Kong/Macau.

    How much credibility is there of ZUMA being one of Top 100 Restaurants in the world, on a certain biased list? ZUMA won't even make top 500 in Japan alone, possible :S

  3. True. Even I've been ROKA. It attracts a certain crowd, particularly during Happy Hour period under Pacific Place offices. I guess even WAGAMAMA is popular in its own way, despite strange food!

    Half my mind tells me I should revisit here for beautiful decorations, ambience and good alcohol, also the enticing upper end Robatayaki shoplook - the displays of fresh food just like Japan fish/meat market! Half my mind tells me not to return here as the food is uncreative and execution is weak. In fact, I like NOBU even though some don't like it, as it has special Fusion style and also the Black Cod, its very fun there! Kobe Jones also is more creative as it carries nouveau style Japanese food, at least I can eat the new style 3D sushi rolls. :) Here, I will come here for drinks and atmosphere, but food is just for soaking up the alcohol..! :)
